Tooth problems

My friend has had to have a tooth removed. She is on the autism spectrum. She is hypersensitive and cannot cope with the “ new mouth”. She’s at breaking point as she doesn’t feel she will ever get used to how her mouth feels and is at breaking point. Any advice or suggestions?

  • 'A milimetre in the mouth is like a mile'. Something a dentist said to me a few months ago, after I confessed I nearly rang to beg them to file down an implant that sits further into my mouth than the old tooth ever did. They were telling me to give it time and my tongue/brain would adapt. And within a few more days, that was true. I hope it's true for your friend too.
