Sensitive hearing and one Meltdown averted.

I want to share a photo with you to help demonstrate the Autistic Salinece Network responsible for Sense-Perception and why Autistic Ears are not dulling or filtering out harsh or unwanted noise.

If children in your care are having trouble with external Sonic Information, please understand they’re not “imagining it”. They, like engineers and technicians before them, are perceptive to Environmental Factors potentially beyond their control.

My landlord had installed a new hob today. I sat in the kitchen and noticed a painful “whistle” while cooking. So, I did the sensible thing to externally Regulate: I went downstairs to bring a pair of ear plugs to my kitchen. And then I opened an app called Decibel X and took a reading to understand what frequency was painful.

The Top Photo is a Reading of the piercing frequency this hob is making at Medium High.

The Bottom. Photo is Medium Low. But this is less and more tolerable

Note: radiators can be incredibly painful. Sometimes just turning a notch can help solve the problem.
