Hi my 12yr d son has just been diagnosed with autism level 3 it was a bit of a shock as we knew he had autism but was only expecting a level 1/2 not a 3 he’s already in a send school which is amazing with him I just feel alone with his diagnosis my family(parents and daughter) don’t seem to understand that things have to change on the way you go about talking and dealing with him, they don’t seem to think he has this as he can talk but he’s very limited in what he will say to you but he’s very intelligent knows a lot on things once he gets going but don’t like talking outside of the home. I was wondering how everyone told their child that they had autism as he can be very volatile on his behaviour never knowing on what he is going to be like each day
