CAMHS ADOS result follow up

Hello,

I'm just after people's experiences of getting their child's ADOS result from CAMHS.

We have just done the ADOS assessment and very next day received fup through post which I thought was very efficient. It is though for 2 months time. Is this about average?

They said after the appointment that I could attend the followup alone or with my child but I'd rather find out on my own first and I be the one to tell my child and then we can have a face to face follow up. Do you think we will have a phone call first telling us the result maybe? I don't think I can wait 8 weeks.

Hi, we have already completed the developmental questionnaire and a anxiety/OCD/deression questionnaire and the ADOS was the last thing done. I am going to leave it a couple of weeks and maybe ring up for any news. Thank you.

We have just had a ADOS assessment and told second part is to ask parents questions, regarding development, behaviours. I think they then need to review that assessment and the ADOS assessment, before doing a report and diagnosive. Different areas may be different, so maybe worth calling CAMHS and asking.
