Private School????

Hi there, just wondered if anyone could share their experience of the private education system and their child with ASD? Any feedback, advise or just sharing of experience would be much appreciated, thank you.

  • Thank you so much for both replies (sorry I've only just seen the first one as I'm new to this!). I seem to get conflicting advice - some people say to stay in the state system and get proper help / a statement, and the others say private school. I suppose I'm thinking that Toby isn't necessarily going to be academic so the private route might teach him to be particularly well mannered, articulate and polite, which itself is as important I feel (plus I went to a private school). I am willing to move anywhere to be honest in the UK for the right school. Any names would be really appreciated!
