We have moved from one borough to another. My child has ASD and was attending the ASD Unit where we used to live. The thing was that the new LA was not able to find a school place in similar environment and we had to travel by car to our old borough to drop off and pick up our child from school. We were doing 120 miles a day from Monday to Friday for seven weeks. My question is: Do you think we could apply to the new LA for the transport cost coverage as it was not our fault that our child was left with no school? It is the LA responsibility to provide a child with access to education. I wonder if you had similar experience.
