ASD assessment finally!

Hello Wave 

We finally have a date for our little boys assessment in January the day after his 4th birthday. It's been a long 3 year wait.

We are in Scotland so wondering what will happen at the assessment any advice is very welcome. My husband and I are feeling lots of emotions. 

I believe they will go to his nursery first and observe him/talk to the staff that know him well.

    I don't live in Scotland so not sure if it's the same as England or not. My mum had to do a questionnaire (I can't remember the name of it). Did a QB test which was to check for ADHD (there are videos of that online). Finally an ADOS-2 test, which I would assume is the same for all countries in the UK. You should be given more information nearer the time, and if you want any details, then let us know

    I was never observed but they definitely spoke to my school
