Understanding

How can my husband my child’s dad, understand why our son thinks and does things differently. Why he may struggle to do things like Christmas the conventional way, it shouldn’t be a problem, it’s not wrong, just different. Yes we both have to change how we have done Christmas and many other things but to me adapting to our Son makes for us being happier all round?

  • The only way I came up so far in explaining how problematic both expressing and enduring some things can be for us is to come up with a hypothetical suituation that would resemble the one I have in mind and be on a familiar ground to another adult, epecially when they're hardcore ableists. But it's difficult, and you need to know that person first.
