Verbal and theatening behaviour

Hi I have A son 21 who is Autistic since he left Beechwood College in August this year he is struggling without the structure he has support workers   Which he really likes  but he is   Abusive and theatening to wards me i they have  seen him do it  any one else having these issues I need advice please

  • Just know there is a line - you get to decide where it is drawn.  Tell your son where the line is.  Tell him the consequences of crossing that line.  If he does cross that line, follow up with the stated consequences WITHOUT FAIL.

    That is my best advice to you based on the very limited information you have provided.

    Personally, I draw my line at any type of physical attack.  Aggression (both verbal and physical) is one thing, but physical attack is quite another!

    I do hope your lives can improve.
