Hi, my 4 1/2 year old boy has begun to annoy his 3 year old twin sisters. Ii know all boys do this, but this goes much further than normal sibling torment. He adores his sisters, but he cannot seem to play like other kids would. All he plays with them is hide and seek, chase and pretending the girls are dogs and he puts them in a kennel!
If they are not engaged in any activity like that, then he calls them silly names, gets in their faces to annoy them, pushes them over, trips them up, and anything he can, to get a reaction from them. This starts as soon as they get up in the morning, and carries on until they go to bed. Anybody looking in, would think that he is just a naughty little boy that needs some serious discipline, but I feel he cannot help it. I put him on the stairs for 3 mins when it gets too much for the girls, but I feel like I am punishing him for something he cannot help.
I spend all day telling him off for annoying them, and it is really not fair on the girls. They are growing to resent him. I can only spend so long in the day playing with them, there are obviously house hold chores washing shopping cooking etc that I have to get done.
Any ideas would be appreciated!!
Christine
