Autistic son

We have one but it is not the same as mum's arm to convey "you are safe" when young. He is know using it sometimes on his own but rarely, I use it more myself when I am stressed.   But even as a baby I had to hold him tight so that he would fall asleep, with only a few months old it was already obvious.

have you tried Weighted Blankets ? I had no idea about them until recently, the feeling of comfort when they gently press you down is helping me fall asleep, and I do not wake up cold with duvet on a floor, because it's too heavy to kick off when twisting in bed.

Hello, I have tried all recomended techniques like bed time routine, including a bath a bottle of milk a bed time story, lamps, relaxing music etc.. but my end solution was having my son sleep with me as he needed me to fall back asleep each time he would wake up at night and insisted on having my arm on top of his chest as pressure helps him fall asleep. With10 years old he finally decided by himself in a radical way from one day to the next to move to his own bed after we redecorated his bedroom as he wanted and put the night light and a white noise device of his choice. He now sleeps all night long by himself so far...  though we still keep bedroom doors open until he falls asleep.
