Help and Support

Hi everyone,

My name is Chris and im a 33 year old father based in N1 London. My amazing son kit is just about to to turn 2 and showing more and more signs of being Autistic. I am sad to say I just thought it was his development being a bit slow and also he is just an active little man and never showed much interest in TV or books etc(bar Peppa Pig). The signs are becoming more apparent and I just want to get hime the assessment and ultimately start moving in the right direction whatever outcome to give him the support and happy life he deserves. Nothing has ever made me happier then this little angel so I will do all I can to support him. Our GP is appalling and out health visitor the same so I am looking to go private for the consultation and tests and possibly sessions after that. Money is no object for his happiness but ultimately I cannot pay the world. Does anyone have any help or advice or recommendations for us both?

Any and all help grateful, I feel very lost and sad that I haven't helped him sooner but I wont let him down anymore.

Thank you,

Chris

  • You shouldn’t feel bad at all, he’s a baby! You’ve noticed traits that most other people wouldn’t have at such an early stage. Since getting a diagnosis can take years, looking to have an assessment ASAP is a great idea, it would be really helpful if he has the diagnosis when he starts primary school.
