Did anyone else struggle when told their child was Autistic?
I’ve known for a long time that he was different, during his assessment he couldn’t sit still which is pretty typical for him, so I was so sure the explanation to his behaviours would be ADHD.
When given the diagnosis, the paediatrician had no doubts that he has Autism alongside mild ADHD.
I’m struggling to get my head around all the information given and what this actually means for him.
I’m not really sure what I’m asking to be honest. Maybe just looking for some reassurance that other people felt a little lost after receiving a diagnosis for their child.
