Need an assessment but need advice prior

I am in need of an assessment and have spoke with the GP but too afraid to make the appointment to see them in person. My only question for advice would be where do you have these assessments? I am deathly terrified of clinical settings, hospitals are no gos for me, so much so I would rather never get a diagnosis then have to go into a hospital to get it. My social anxiety is also off the scale, I find it difficult to actually speak sometimes in settings where I feel overwhelmed.

Does anyone know if online assessments are a thing under the NHS? Thank you! :)

  • Write to the GP with all this rather than ring/ go...that got me out of that one. Your fear of hospitals will also need addressing because one day we all need one...getting it. I have that too.

Meanwhile, although I had a private assessment with the NAS in the end, I gather many of them are not in "hospital" environments and post-pandemic many are online
