ADHD or stimming or sensory processing

Hi,

My 11 year old is high functioning ASD.

She often does things that look as though she is trying to get energy out, For example, stopping what she is  to jog laps around the kitchen island or, when  we are walking  along the street, runs back and forth, kicking her legs out occasionally as though she is shaking energy out.Sometimes at school lunchtime, she will run laps around the playing field.

Does this sound like ADHD or is it just stimming? How can I tell the difference? I am wondering whether it is worthwhile to ask for an assessment for ADHD.

Regards

I begun to share flat with my polish friend a week ago. He has a son with english woman, son lives with his ex and comes to visit him often. Kid is 6y.o. and very lively too. But his dad might be ADHD, so kid could have it too.

I'm undiagnosed ADHD btw, so I know how it makes daily life look like Stuck out tongue

so any unusual movement patterns I would rather atribute to being autistic, possibly stimming, ADHD makes you restless, so you keep being active, and unable to maintain focus, so you begin 100 things and finish none.

    higher expectations about behaviour.

I would say more rigid, or stiff instead of higher

but not everyone was born royal, so faking it is stupid, it's stupid for royals too Stuck out tongue
