My older son still has problems with spiders we have to check for then regularly and have a tissue ready for removal. He has gradually got better with small ones, but I can understand the problem with large ones as they move quickly.
Regarding toilet seats I am wondering what colour he has at home. I prefer white ones myself as you can see if there is anything on them.
Hi. My daughter has the toilet phobia to the point that she’ll hold her wee for hours. I usually let her check it out first, cover it with tissue and then let her leave before I flush it as the noise doesn’t agree with her.
I wouldn't call that a phobia. Public Toilets are not just sensory nightmares, the VOC (volatile organic compounds) readings will be off the charts. If you think Formaldehyde is bad, the scents they use in spaces with a lack of ventilation literally cause harm to the lungs and gut. Try using a proper N95 mask.
They are also damaging to the ears. The decibel level of air dryers have been clocked at the same level as a Jet Engine - 120dB and higher - a level no human ear can be exposed to without damage. These should be illegal. Toilets are becoming just as loud. Bring ear defenders as well.
