My boy is 7 and going into year 3 in Sept.
He is diagnosed ASD and has been since he was 4.
He struggles with anxiety and emotions and i don't feel school are helping with this.
They keep putting me off going for an EHCP, but he is in a class of 34 with a Teacher and TA, no extra support.
He often needs extra support with independent learning, but then school moan they aren't getting much out of him in an afternoon (independent learning time).
He's in mixed class so Teacher teaches the Y4 and TA focuses on Y3.
I have regular meetings for him and he's got an Individual Support Plan, but things are promised in meetings then not followed through.
Because he's not struggling academically i feel he is slipping through the net
Is anyone else having these issues?
