New bedroom

A lot of change for everyone. First massive sort out and getting rid of things. Next, she has a new wardrobe (my old one), then a different layout, now a new bed which my husband just left to get. She's going to work this evening so she won't see it until she gets home. She's chosen were she wants it placed. We are trying to let her be in control as much as we can.

One thing we've changed is her sensory calming corner. We would like to get new things for it. It is also where she goes when experiencing meltdowns so it has to be safe, currently, it's just a wall, no padding, with a beanbag, weighted blanket, sensory toys and teddies. We would like more but are on a very strict budget.

We did use bubble wrap before as padding on the wall. Cheap, and easy to stick on the wall. It was a good distraction for the headbanging. She puts blankets on her head, I believe for pressure, and now pops the bubble wrap, great sensory tool but we would like something safer and better.

Any good ideas/items for a sensory corner/room? Thanks
