Meltdowns and going out

Is it advisable to take my six year old who has many ASD traits to the park to calm him down during a meltdown?. He does bolt if he is distressed

  • If he bolts that might not end well. 

    I wouldn't want to be taken anywhere mid-meltdown except my own room, where that can purge itself safely.  I'm not sure anyone could move me anywhere easily. And nothing would calm it at that point. 

    If you catch it in the rumbling stage anywhere away from the stressors, say the park, might.
