Pain

My daughter had a bad day Friday and has been in a lot of pain since and is struggling to tell me what hurts. She doesn't usually complain about pain and just gets on with it but is struggling now.

Her leg was hurting and she couldn't put weight on it yesterday but can now. Her leg is bruised and cut, her wrists are very bruised and very tender to touch, same with her arms. Her head has a bump after headbaging a wall. Her back and neck are tender and hurting her a bit. She's in a lot of pain and I don't know how to help. We've tried ice packs but they haven't done anything. She refuses to take any pain killers or medicine. Bandages and plasters are a now due to the heat. She won't go to the doctors to make sure she doesn't have any internal injuries and just to double check everything is ok.

What else can I do? She's very sore everywhere...

Thanks again

  • No, she hasn't lucky. Any injuries from school are from herself or staff trying to restrain and hold her to keep her safe. She is difficult to hold, she's strong and wriggly and will do anything to get out of one. It's why they don't tend to hold her but this time they had no choice because she was threatening to jump and die so police also were called which gave her more injuries.
