apprenticeship - maths

My daughter has a diagnosis of ASD, she also has some learning difficulties and it has been mentioned that she may have dyscalculia. (no official diagnosis)

She is currently completing an apprenticeship in early years level 2 and is doing really well with the course however she is really struggling with her maths.  She did not pass her maths and English at school so is now studying for her maths foundation as part of the apprenticeship.  We have had various reports from school which highlight her difficulties and how much she struggles.

We have now been told that she will not pass her apprenticeship if she does not pass her maths, we do not think she will pass her maths however we are doing everything to support her.  My question is:  is there nothing that can be done about this, she will fall under the equality act and if she has a disability which means she is not able to pass her maths should this stop her from passing the apprenticeship which she is doing so well at?

Any advice would be really appreciated.
