Every term students have their timetable changed to suit their needs which change quite a lot. My daughter has had an amazing first day back but started to get overwhelmed at the end of the day after looking at her new timetable which has a lot of change. They've taken a lesson off, moved some about, gotten rid of staff, added new staff. She was told by the curriculum manager that tomorrow morning she would have the new English teacher and her current usual member of staff but at the end of the day, the staff looked at the timetable and told her that it's not happening because the teacher is with a different student. It's not fair for her because her timetable says one thing but means another thing. She very confused and overwhelmed.
Her staff messaged me today explaining this and they have tried talking to her to see what the issues are and whatnot but she was too overwhelmed to discuss it so they had a hug to calm down. They asked if she wanted to take her timetable home to talk to me, but she gave a firm no, and has continuously chucked it in the bin.
How do I try to make things better? I can't let her know it's going to be OK when honestly it's not. Sometimes I think this school is a joke but they are really doing their best. Over this half term they've made it more secure so now my daughter can't jump the fence. She is going to talk to her staff about the issues but I don't want her getting upset and overwhelmed.
