Hello everyone, my wife and I have long suspected our eldest is somewhere on the autistic spectrum, but up until now she’s always managed. But things have come to a head when she started her periods and had an infection. We currently cannot get her to visit a
doctor or even do some of the things the doctor wants us to keep a record of (fluid in and out).
When we try to make her she ends up in a corner in floods of tears scrunched up in the fetal position looking frightened to death. She’s been off school for a month and we just don’t know what to do. We are getting some sort of call next week about her possibly getting diagnosed, but from what I can gather this can take years on the NHS.
Money is very tight for us like a lot of people these days but if going private would help us speed up the process we would like to explore this. Does anyone have any advice about going private in this regard?
