My daughter has recently been assessed for autism by cahms around february. My daughter, me and the school had to fill in assessment questions. I don’t know if she is asd because i thought i would’v been able to catch it earlier. She struggles to stay in classes/go to school due to her anxiety as it can be overwhelming. She has always been extremely picky with her food, she’s extremely isolated and rarely comes out her room, excessively paces with hand/face movements and occasional noises. She hates noises such as chewing and struggles with her friendships etc. She has always been different to others her age, she loved playing dolls till around 13, she’s different to most girls her age interest wise. I’m sure i would’ve caught it earlier on if she was autistic, i know she isn’t processing the idea of being autistic very well but i’m just unsure of the diagnostic process with cahms as we haven’t had a call back ever since january. Can someone explain the cahms diagnosis for asd requirements and the expected time etc? Thank you
