I keep questioning myself, 'Is this the right school'. At times I don't think it is but at the same time it is great. We've come along way.
My daughter is showing an increase of agitation towards the students, staff and school in general. Today, she was described as very loud, argumentative, swearing, throwing and smashing things when offsite and running away from staff. She struggles with the noise of students running around everywhere and wherever she goes, there's always someone there. It's not quiet. She will go for walks offiste but this leads to her running away from staff. She is still struggling with getting in the taxi. It takes her for ages to get in.
She has an amazing friendship with her taxi driver. He is amazing. He is better than the staff at times and knows what he's doing with her. He doesn't rush her to get in the taxi and let's her know she has all the time in the world. He puts on her favourite music before she's in the taxi. He chats to her and they have code words to tell eachother how their day was. He has said that she's been struggling with getting in the taxi for weeks now.
Myself and him did have a chat about this and he's very understanding. He also says that the staff don't do anything to help when she's struggling so he steps in to help her. He also questions that they don't see when things are going to get out of hand before they happen. He knows when she's going to do something and just doesn't understand how the staff can't see this when they work with her all day. He also told me that she isn't herself at the moment because taxi hasn't been a huge issue before, not like this and I can't do anything because I'm not there. Her taxi driver can do what he can but the staff, I don't know what to say to them.
I have many questions to ask the school over the past few weeks. They are a pain to get in contact with. I've tried calling them, messaging them directly. I get no response or please try again another day because they are busy. I understand they are but I'm trying to fix problems that are going to turn into bigger problems.
Why do I do? She's getting more and more agitated day by day and at some point she's going to lose it.
