It is saddening to read of you and your son's plight.

Out of concern your post may have been missed, I took the huge liberty of rewriting it to read more smoothly, as follows:

Due to severe anxiety my son was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome.

I’ve just been turned down for an ECH plan as he was out of classes for nearly a year; he was hiding in the toilet when he was going to school and taking his dinner in there to eat it.

My doctor wrote a letter to the school asking for 1-to-1 support in a different environment for my son, even though he has a good IQ ~ he’s struggling emotionally with his mental health, he talks to himself and because of the anxiety it takes me hours to get him out of the house for his education.

I also have a report from a speech therapist saying to use a white board, visual information and to beak his work down into more manageable chunks, and she put down she doesn’t think my son can follow simple instructions.

He’s about to take his exams soon and I am not even sure I will get him there.

I’ve also been told he takes time to settle into his work, but has not been given extra time for this.

I am just wondering if people would take this to a tribunal, as I am now worried because he’s over 16.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks
