Hi everyone,
First off just wanted to say how reassuring it is to read your questions and answers.It helps so much to know that I'm not alone in all the confusion! My daughter who is 7 was diagnosed with Aspergers a year ago and I found myself very overwhelmed and unsure where to go or what to do.
My main worry at the moment is her education. Madison struggles with her motor skills so writing is a big concern. She can write her name and a few short words (cat, etc) but apart from that her ability is low, even writing the alphabet proves too much.
Her reading is slightly better but nowhere near where it should be. She receives extra support through school who have been very supportive but I just worry so much.
On a positive note I've managed to teach her to ride her bike recently which I honestly thought she'd never master and I was soooo proud of her I a couldn't stop smiling all day :)))
Has anyone else struggled with this issue? Any help, advice or success stories would be greatly appreciated.
