Hello community!
We are an American family who have just moved to west London from New Zealand and we are trying to set up our little one for success. My 7-year-old son, who is active and marvelous and has ADHD and ASD is in need of an in-school aid at a private school in Chiswick, as well as potentially after-school help with academics and socialization. His registered Psychologist BCBA (who has worked with him for over two years) is coming from New Zealand for a couple of weeks the second half of April and early May to help us transition to a new aid with our son. He is highly functional, but there are some areas that need some work, especially at school because he has had some outbursts that have caused concern in the school and they might request we take him out of his school. We believe with a bit of training for the school and teachers any concerns they have will be manageable and he will thrive.
He was clinically diagnosed through the UCLA School of neuropsychiatry at 4 years old and has had extensive ABA therapy in a school, clinic and some in-home sessions. We would love any leads you all have on great places to find aids.
