We are family...

I come from a very neurodiverse family. My mother, Sally, has anxiety, as does my sister, Miranda. Me, my brother, Alex and my cousin, Carlos, have autism and my dad, James, has OCD, as does his surviving niece, Vicky. This, as you can imagine, makes us quite difficult to live with at times. But, as we've lived together throughout the years, we've learned to understand each others needs. We look back on our past misunderstandings with kindness to our younger selves and, because we all love each other, we've all learned to live with each other. And that's part of being a family, really.

Being the youngest in my family, and having only one relative younger than me, I often feel like I'm only the centre of attention when they want me to be or when it's arranged beforehand. My dad's a very talkative man, which comes across as a challenge when we have guests around and I attempt to talk to them. But, I feel it important to stress, I love my family and I am in no way attempting to turn the family, or whoever's reading this against them. As I mentioned above, we've all learned to live with each other.

I wonder if any of you can relate to these scenarios?
