Hi Im a newbie and any advice welcome

Hi, im very new to this, my 11 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with Aspergers (2weeks ago) and I am just coming to terms with the diagnosis.  She has trouble socialising and has terrible tantrums and other small issues. 

I have made changes at home this past 6 months which have helped dramatically with her behaviour at home but would welcome any other help and advice and just general support from other parents.

My Daughter is an amazing little girl and i want to be able to give her as much support as possible to make life easier for her to cope with.

  • Thanks for the reply- yes she is in mainstream and about to got to secondary school in Sept.....thankfully I have met with both schools today to discuss what they will put in place to help Miya with the transition.

    She copes at the momment in mainstream I am very worried about friendships and how she will cope in her bigger school.
