Anyone else EHE?

I’m considering EHE for my child or maybe going for EOTAS but this can be extremely hard and exhausting to battle for.  Anyone else made this decision? Or chose against this decision? Any tips?

  • Hi, I was EHE at 14. Then all my siblings followed suit (there are 7 of us) Now I’m 22 I help home educate the youngest 3 boys. One is mildly autistic and the other is more severe. Neither are diagnosed as we don’t feel it would change anything. The beautiful thing about home educating is that we can provide an education that individually suits them. Facebook has some great groups you should look at. Twinkl home educators is my favourite EOTAS are often discussed. Also look at your local home Ed group to get an idea what the local authority are like in your area. We have a really supportive network where I live. Personally unless it can be proven that they couldn’t cope in school you won’t get anywhere on funding. Home education doesn’t have to be expensive though! Is your child in mainstream school? as it can be more difficult (not impossible) to home educate if they are in a special school. Happy to answer any questions on here or privately. Hope this helps Best wishes Jasmine x
