Finished house extension

We have finally finished part one of the house extension. We have added a bathroom downstairs, a bedroom upstairs and another bathroom. We are just waiting for some windows and for the plumber to fit the rest of the bathroom upstairs in which should be done this week.

It was the first night of my daughters having their own room. My oldest daughter struggled to sleep until 10pm but then has slept through the whole night. She said 'I had a good sleep. Probably because I wasnt elbowed in the head, or kicked in the bed or whatever she does'. She is very happy. She still needs to sort her room out to how she wants it but what she's done so far I am totally jealous.

She has put her bed on one side, and her bean bag opposite to it in the other corner, with all her pillows, teddies, sensory toys. The pillows are blocking the wall so when she headbangs it is safe. She also has a light which changes colour. It was for the bath but now we don't have one so she has it. She LOVES her room, she did it herself. She's the tidiest of all the children, lol. Really relaxing. She's basically turned it into a small sensory room but just has a wardrobe, desk, TV and bed on the other side. Honestly, I am super jealous.

  • Thank you for sharing this awesome news with us here! You did a great job planning smooth your house, especially your daughter's living room. This is so nice. I would recommend adding a special closet in her room where she can put her cosmetics and things she likes with the fancy mirror, and this will make her feel more comfortable, especially when you change most of your furniture. For more details on why it is so important, you can look at [removed by mod - no links please] at the thehomerevamp site. Have a great day, ParentingAutism!
