Profile after diagnosis

Hi 

My son, 9, finally got his diagnosis before christmas and we are meeting with the neuro developmental team next week for his profile and debrief appointment.

I was diagnosed autisic in 2020 at 34 but I didn't have a profile or anything like that completed.

Does anyone know what to expect so I can calm his anxiety as he's already started to worry about it. They said to have questions or comments prepared if we want to make sure everything it covered but like what....

  • I think they will just give you and explain his “profile” i.e his strengths and difficulties. And the debrief is literally that - your chance to ask questions and get resources for further help. If he has a diagnosis there shouldn’t be any more tests or whatnot to complete now.
