Hi,
I have a 15 year old ASD son, I have started to notice that places are saying as he is 15 we need his permission (school, for his online password for home learning), when he got the covid jag they asked is he consented, he got a letter in to register to vote. (We live in Scotland.)
Anyway, things like this are happening more and more. He will be 16 next year. He doesn't have the capacity to deal with most things. He can't cope with school so he will is only going to do a few subjects from home. He is under the care of CAMHS and has poor mental health.
Is there a way I can become his appointee (or something, not even sure what the term is) that means I can take control of these things for him?
Do I have to contact everyone individually as these things come up to explain his difficulties and limitations for handling his affairs each and every time?... Surely there must be an easier way? It's quite emotionally exhausting to repeatedly tell his private medical business.
Thanks for any help or information.
