Teenager want to make friends

Hi,

I have a 14 year old who is autistic and trans and has recently begun home learning due to the school environment being too overwhelming/not meeting his needs. He removed himself from his former friendship group due to issues with bullying and is no longer in contact with anyone from school.
He is desperately lonely but he can’t manage social situations due to his anxiety, so I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions for online groups that might be suitable. He was in LGBT youth’s gender group but found it to be too quiet and didn’t feel like he had much in common with the members.

Hi, my son is 16 and home most of the time because he can't cope with the college environment. He would love some-one to talk to. Also he was bullied at school and suffers with anxiety. Let me know if he would be interested?

Hello!

I am 18, and autistic and trans too! I would suggest looking into Trevorspace. It's an online forum similar to this one, designed for young LGBT people. There is also a relatively large disabled community there, including autistic and other neurodivergent people. It's been quite helpful to me. Anyway do some research, give it a try, I think he'll like it.
