Running off, advice needed

So I used to be able to go to the supermarket with my child who would hold my hand and wait. All of a sudden my child now doesn't have any patience to wait and tries to get to the till. If we are waiting in a queue, my child just runs straight for the till.

My child only says some words. I say what we are doing and why before going in, when in and when we are heading to the till. My chikd understands when we are going round the supermarket  or if we are in a shop that we will do this then that. When heading for the till, my child just goes for the till no listening at all. If I try to lift my child, the child just slides down my arms and lies on the ground and runs. I explain no we have to wait but my child starts screaming.

If I'm paying for something my child just runs off and won't stand.

I thought sensory issues but it's not because my child loves talking to people, no issues with lights. If there's loud music my child begins to dance.

What can I do to make life easier or am I doing something wrong.
