Feeling Lonely

Hi!
How do you as parents of a child/adult on the spectrum feel on a socialising basis?
After having my daughter my close friends left, and then when I had made mum friends, my daughter got diagnosed and it became hard to leave the house and go to get togethers with friends or family, and that was just due to the fact my daughter cannot handle those type of things.
I don't know anyone else who has a child that is on the spectrum and its becoming very lonely.
I am literally doing the same thing just different day and I'm starting to go insane!

  • Hi Meg. I’m a mum to a recently diagnosed 21 year old daughter.  She masked it for so many years. It’s been a very hard journey with two hospital stays. It’s a lonely place as others don’t know what to say. I’m a creative so find solice in my art and weaving.
