Social club for children with ASD in primary school?

I work as a TA in a primary school in Hampshire where we have a number of children on the autistic spectrum. My 12 year-old son is also autistic so I have a fair bit of personal experience.

There are some support groups locally that allow older children to "hang out" with other "like-minded" children and I'd really love to set something similar up as a lunchtime club at school. Does anyone have any experience of this or any suggestions of what we could include?

Hi NAS75255, thank you for sharing in the online community. I could not quite find an example of a lunchtime club at school for autistic children, but you can search for clubs that cater for children with an autism spectrum disorder on our Autism Services Directory: https://www.autism.org.uk/directory.
