Group 2/3 Car Seats for children - with straps/harness

Hello,
I'm new here.
My 3 year old son is outgrowing his car seat.
He has no social communication or appreciation of danger, so could happily escape from a car seat without being strapped in.
So I'm looking for something he can use until 12 years and that can keep him safe.
Does anyone have any advice on what car seat to get next?

  • Most harnesses are only strong enough to guarantee not to break when the child is under 18kg, I think there are some seats with harnesses tested up to 25kg but I ‘m sorry I don’t know which brand they are. Might be worth a google. I have a Cosatto Zoomi 2/3 seat, the harness was only up to 18kg I had to move to seatbelts not long before my daughter turned 4 but she’s quite tall for her age and not super skinny
