hi everyone, my son, 10, has autism and dyslexia, he's been really struggling with a possible processing issue that i cant find any info on online or else where, this last year hes been more aware of it himself and gets really upset at times. just wanted to know if anyone else suffers or suffered with it and any advice or tips to help get him with it. the issue is that whenever we leave home to go anywhere he literally only recognises his surroundings for about 1/2 roads away from home, he will then be lost, if asked where we are he doesn't know, also if we go somewhere and are on our way back home he doesn't recognise anywhere until were on our actual road. also if while out other people walk between us and he loses sight of me for a split second he starts panicking, crying, hyperventilating and we have to leave wherever and go home. he dosent look visually disabled so other people often have a reaction to his panic, and because hes getting older i really wanna try give him some coping tools he can use to help with this. also does anyone know what this would be classified as, would help him understand it too
