Hi I’ve literally just joined this forum in the hope that someone can guide me in the right direction. My son is 11 years old and has been solely homeschooled for the last 3 years. He should be starting secondary school in September but this won’t be happening. He has crippling anxiety around social situations where it got so bad that he could not attend school. We were out today and he saw lots of children playing in the park, he began to cry and my heart broke for him. When he got calmed down he explained that all he wanted was a friend but finds it impossible to approach this.
My question is does anyone know of any good social skills groups (online or face to face) or online social skills resources that I can use with him. I should say over the years we have tried different social groups but he is terrified and can not participate.
