EHCP

Hey, so I applied a few months ago for my four-year-old son and he got rejected however yesterday I received an autism diagnosis for him and I will be appealing. I was advised to appeal with much more documentation and evidence such as his diagnosis report and if you have any documentation from for example speech and language therapy they can help you write the EHCP plan, your child’s Senco,  the nursery they attend can also help you, if they attend occupational health, if they are not toilet trained for example. What you are trying to show is that your child needs additional support in the current setting and therefore will need support in the future educational setting. It costs the government a lot of money so you need to have a lots of evidence to show that they need help and they won’t simply be fine without it. 

Thanks so much for the reply! His SENDCO is helping to fill out the main form but theyve sent us the EHC2 form to complete initially. I'm just worried Ill mess it up and wont put enough or too much info on it.
