what to look for in a ASD school?

Bounce might be offered a place at a ASD school, the school was a MLD one and has changed to ASD september 2012 or 2011 (not quite sure) Its not really fully established and if SENAR say yes place wont be available till September has school is being remodeled for Yr1, reception classes (has they currently dont have any!!!). Thing is even though I have viewed a few I knew back then (september 2012) that I could go back and view again or call them up. But since this one is not one of my choices but SENARS (all full round here!!! :(  ), I really dont know what to expect.

I did ask teacher from school today when she came to observe bounce but she wasnt at all helpful and since class is not ready till september I dont know what i might possibly be sending him to!!! Any ideas??????

  • hi - it's v difficult to make a decision when the school hasn't been fully up + running for some length of time.  Do you think you would prefer bounce to go to 1 of the schools you've already looked at?  I wouldn't feel confident about the teacher who came to see you + I would go with your instincts.
