After advice - dont know if these things exist or not. My son need ear defenders for when we go out walking or on his bike. Issues we are having is that he obviously needs to wear a helmet and ear defenders dont go over or under the helmet and also he finds the ear defenders to tight and uncomfortable after 10-15mins. Currently he is just stopping and holding is hands over his ears but this is quite dangerous when we are near roads as he distracted, loses balance or stops to hold is ears in the middle of walk ways or crossing the road, basically anywhere. What does everyone else do?
thanks
Have you considered that it might not be just the noise - he may be overstimulated from the wind in his face or strange smells or the brightness of the sun - it all adds up to overload.
not at all, thank you. I'll try anything to help him. Like you say if its reduces the noise just enough that he's OK with it. will have a look, thank you
Hiya, I don't know if this is helpful but my daughter is a road cyclist and doesn't like the cars but it doesn't stop her. We bought her a cycling beanie/cap to go under the helmet. It is tight fitting and is a great price. It does reduce some of the noise especially the noise of wind, but you can still hear the cars and things for safety reasons. Hope this helps, but it probably isn't what you are looking for.
Thank you for the link. definitely easy to lose Will try em and if he click with them I'll stock up
I agree - get the soft foam ones - these may be better for a child - difficult to lose! https://www.screwfix.com/p/howard-leight-qb2hyg-24db-semi-aural-banded-ear-plugs/5009f

Ooo, thank you I'll have a look for those. My son is 9, not sure what age they can start using in her headphones and things but will take a look. Thank you
My son also doesn’t like to wear the over ear ones, and now he’s 13 is conscious, so I have in ear foam ones that I got of Amazon, he can put in his self.
