New diagnosis

I am a 32 year old male. I have just been diagnosed with ASD. For years I and the doctors thought I had generalised anxiety disorder but a councillor noticed that I may be autistic. I done the tests and was diagnosed with ASD. I would much appreciate any advice on where to go from here

  • Congratulations, welcome!

If you don't know much about ASD I would just say research, research, research. There's loads of books and endless content on YouTube and this forum is great too as you see people sharing their experiences I've had countless "I thought I was the only one" or "that's just like me" moments on this forum and researching online.

It will make you feel less alone for sure, and don't put yourself down for thinking back into your life i couldn't help it and I think it's worth thinking about as it helps you understand yourself better.
