'Proof' of Autism?

Hi,

Our son has a formal diagnosis of Autism and we are trying to access DLA but have not had a decision yet - we are also trying to access passes for attractions (eg t avoid queuing) and have been asked for 'proof' of diagnosis - all I have is his diagnosis letter from the community paediatricians which at 9 pages is fine to send virtually but I was wondering if there is anything else I can use to quickly and efficiently confirm in a formal way his diagnosis?  any advice greatly received.

Thanks

  • Hi, if you contact the team that did his assessment they should be able to send you a letter confirming diagnosis without all the other personal information included. That's what I done with my children and the letters have been accepted as proof by various places. As long as it's a headed letter with your child's name and date of birth it should be fine.
