- i have an adult daughter (29) newly diagnosed. Always knew she was probably autistic but it’s still been a bit of a shock, strangely. She’s been suffering with mental health issues since being made redundant in May. She held down a job for 8 years since finishing her education. I’ve been finding things really difficult as it usually comes down to me to help her with everything. She’s just so negative all the time and that’s so totally draining. She also has no friends at all and is extremely lonely. I just feel a bit lost, both for myself and her.
