We are foster carers with a lovely ( and challenging) 13 year old boy.
He receives DLA payments and we would like to take him to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and similar attractions.
They offer a carers ticket which is great but ask for the DLA letter and also photo ID.
He doesn't have a passport and I don't know what other form of photo ID would be acceptable for a child?
Please has anyone come across this before and if so what kind of pass did you use?
Many thanks
Every place I've ever taken disabled children just ask to see a copy of the DLA or PIP letter - they know they're too young to have photo id.
Does he have a blue badge - a photocopy of that is also acceptable.. Take some id for yourself - driving licence is easiest.
If you're worried, just give them a bell - you'd be surprised at how helpful they are.
At Thorpe Park, you can bypass the long park entrance queues by talking to the ticket office - they take us through a different entrance - so we're in before a few hundred people - get straight to the good rides. .
