i hope everybody is okay

I'M a mum of 7 year old daughter just been diagnostic with Autist am new at this 

its any parent could give me some advice

  • Welcome. Glad to hear your daughter has got diagnosed at a reasonably early stage, for a girl anyway! I have 2 girls in their 20's with ASD & am awaiting assessment myself. It took many years for my girls to be diagnosed. Now you have the diagnosis what is your next hurdle to jump? EHCP for school, if you haven't already? Have you been on one of the courses they send parents on post-diagnosis yet? (Early-Bird or Cygnet.) 

    You may be aware, ASD is generally genetic, so chances are that you, your partner, both of you or another family member are also on the spectrum. Since I know what to look for finally I have spotted it in both mine & my exes families. Kids didn't stand a chance with their gene pool lol.
