Do you know if this is in the family? 

my son went through a period of this behaviour at 2-3 but we discovered it only happened after he ate chocolate (wish I’d known how bad it is for little ones). 

things like that are scary for parents. He has dyslexia, though. And is highly sensitive to sound. 

Being Nuevo-divergent myself, and having many more “issues” than he seems to, it’s been easy to be understanding. I sometimes think it’s good to be curious about who they become, because assumptions can get in the way of seeking to understand our children. But it’s also good to help identify similar genetic traits we feel are familiar as it helps with mindfulness and connexion. 

all children want to feel understood and accepted. They’ll also mimic everything we do regardless of what is said, so I’ve simply tried to always spend time growing into a human that is good for them to be like. :)
